February 2018: Happy 5th Birthday, NAPM!

In many ways it seems like just yesterday we left the operating room to open up clinic full-time in Eagle River. In other ways, it seems like a lifetime ago. This month we celebrate 5 years of service to South-central Alaska (and outlying regions from Barrow to Ketchikan, and Dutch Harbor to Eagle.) It wouldn’t be possible without the collective heart and soul of the incomparably good people who have joined together here to try to show love, encourage faith and communicate hope to people whose lives are marked by pain.

Some have left us; we’d like to take just a moment to thank and honor Sandy Spencer, ANP whose practice in the Valley is growing and thriving. Also Amy Watson, and Christi Weston who were the first points of contact and care for 4 years combined. Amy Lindquist, RN was an integral part of our early efforts, and we were blessed by her clinical skills and service before she left the State (Alaska’s glad to have you back!) While Terri Miller and Julie Wohrle have left their official capacity as part of the “seen” NAPM Team, we are grateful to have them continue on as “behind the scenes” prayer and community support.

Over the last 3 months we’ve welcomed in Theresa McDonald and Katrina White, and already they are part of the family here.  Those of us who’ve been here over the past 5 years sure are grateful and excited for their giftings and hearts.
